Rod Watson

The majority of Rod’s career has been spent improving the alignment between people performance and business outcomes through both enterprise leadership and building sustainable solutions for clients. Over the years, Rod’s capability has been delivered across several cultures and geographies. Rod’s primary responsibility in NOVUS Search Partners is supporting the Board Search Practice along with our initiatives in the Not for Profit Sector. During a career with DBM Inc, a global leader in career transition, Rod held leadership positions in North America, the Asia Pacific Region and global business development. More recently, he was President, Pacific Region with responsibility for all operations in Australia, Asia and the Middle East. Prior to joining DBM, Rod worked as management consultant with Towers Perrin, where he led major strategic, organisation and change projects in Australia and overseas. After beginning working life as a psychologist, the early part of Rod’s career journey focused on human resources in the transportation industry. Rod holds a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioural Sciences from Macquarie University and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business in the USA. Outside of work commitments, Rod devotes time to his family, enjoys travelling with his wife, working with the community and watching others excel in their sporting pursuits.
